Old Fort Madison is closed while we rebuild. Here is how to visit in the meantime, and what to expect once the fort reopens.

Closed for revitalizationOld Fort Madison is closed for revitalization, except July 4 from noon to 4 pm after the Charlie Korschgen Parade, after the Rodeo Parade from noon to 5 pm, and by appointment until the project is complete and open to the public.

Admission
While the fort is closed for revitalization there is no regular admission. Visits on July 4 from noon to 4 pm after the Charlie Korschgen Parade, after the Rodeo Parade, and by appointment are welcome. There is no charge to come see the progress, though gifts toward the rebuild are always appreciated. Members continue to support the effort year round, and your membership helps fund the work.
