OLD FORT MADISONPRESERVATION

Capital campaign

Campaign news

Milestones and momentum in the $3.5 million effort to rebuild and interpret the fort. We report progress openly, gift by gift.

  1. Campaign

Campaign passes the $2 million mark

This spring the capital campaign moved past $2 million toward its $3.5 million goal, clearing the halfway point of the effort. The total reflects gifts of every size, from founding-level commitments to ten-dollar donations sent in the mail.

Reaching this point keeps construction of the Welcome Center/Living History Center funded and on schedule. We report the running total openly so supporters can see exactly where the effort stands.

  2. Campaign

Community meets a year-end matching challenge

A matching challenge offered in the final weeks of the year was met in full. Every qualifying gift was doubled, which stretched each dollar twice as far and closed the year ahead of plan.

Matching challenges work because they turn one decision into shared momentum. Our thanks to everyone who answered the call before the deadline.

  3. Campaign

    Campaign enters its public phase

After a quiet leadership phase, the capital campaign opened to the wider community this fall. Early commitments from founding supporters gave the effort a strong start before the first public appeal.

From here, the campaign belongs to everyone who cares about the fort. Naming opportunities, memberships, and one-time gifts all move the building forward.

Every gift moves the total. See the live progress and the naming opportunities still open.
